AccuWeather is an international weather forecast service that was formed in 1962. The company recently announced that it is has integrated with the Chainlink blockchain. With the help of nodes from Chainlink, AccuWeather aims to place its weather-based APIs directly on the blockchain platforms. The news was updated in a new blog post by AccuWeather.
API is short for Application Programming Interface allows different applications or software to communicate with each other. The APIs generated by AccuWeather consists of crucial information such as temperature, wind speed, classification of natural disasters, probability of rain, storm, or hail, and precipitation, etc.
AccuWeather APIs will be Launched on Top of the Blockchain Network
Smart Contracts are program stores on blockchain that are automatically executed when preset conditions are met. AccuWeather APIs will be able to stay on top of a blockchain project with the help of smart contracts. NFTs are the latest trend in the crypto industry, and many investors are showing an increasing interest in paying a hefty price for them.
For the time being, NFT is just a way for artists to sell their work in a digital and un-duplicable form. However, with the help of Chainlink nodes, the artists could create NFTs that would change with the changing weather. The weather reporting firm also aims to send alerts for natural disasters and supply chain shifts that are correlated with the weather forecast.

Chainlink is an open-sourced blockchain project that is known as a decentralized oracle network. The Ethereum based network is used to store off-chain data onto the smart contracts. Grayscale has decided to add Chainlink for a new crypto trust considering the aptitude and wide use of the blockchain project. Exchange platform Kraken is also using Chainlink to nodes.
These nodes are a way for facilitating the DeFi applications to incorporate an updated stream of price predictions for Kraken users. Kurt Fulepp is the Global Chief of Products for AccuWeather. He claimed in the new blog post that Chainlink has allowed the weather reporting services to become the industry leader and add value to the blockchain market as a whole.
