Warren Buffet, the investment guru, passed on satisfactory comments about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. In the past, he was somewhat skeptical about bitcoin as he said, ‘’Bitcoin has no unique value at all.’’

Warren Buffet promised a dinner with Tron CEO, Justin Sun, and now, the promise has been fulfilled as Justin meets with the Warren Buffet during January dinner. According to the Sun, they discussed the bitcoin, Tesla and about his own project.

During the dinner meeting, Buffet did not utter a single bad word for the digital coin, bitcoin. The dinner is also attended by the various blockchain personalities including the eToro CEO, Charlie Lee.

Change in Buffet’s View about Bitcoin

The change has been observed about Buffet’s view over the bitcoin. In 2018, he called it ‘’probably rat poison squared’’ while attending the Berkshire Hathaway annual meetup. Similarly, it reported on Feb.25, 2019 that Buffet has again used very harsh words towards digital gold and called Bitcoin ‘’a delusion’’ and it ‘’áttracts charlattans’’ only.

But his recent remarks about bitcoin are contrary to the past ones. According to him, bitcoin still needs a lot of time to become a recognized currency.

He believes in the potential of blockchain technology; for example, his portfolio company JP Morgan is also experimenting with blockchain. The DLT technology will change the infrastructure of the payments in the future, he further added.

Buffet was not only the alone, in the past, to question the legitimacy of the cryptocurrency. The prominent figures in the business world such as Bill Gates were also skeptical about it. Two prominent economics Robert Shiller and Nouriel Roubini are also included in the list who criticized the coin.

The investment expert also praised the Elon Musk and called him a great entrepreneur. But he rejects the claim the Tesla assets are the best investment because there are so many competitors in the market against Tesla.

Sun also talked with Buffet about his own crypto project and asked him to advise on how to expand it. In the end, Tron CEO thanked him for giving a piece of advice. Debbie Bosanek, Buffet’s assistant, commented that Sun’s entrepreneur skill has already been groomed from the time of his dinner with the billionaire.

The dinner was decided to happen in 2019, but due to Sun’s health problem, the meeting was not successful. He, at that time, donated nearly $4.5 million in the charity for the dinner.
