The news of the Theta Blockchain project- Theta, breaking into the top ten most valuable tokens, has come as a shock to many within the Blockchain space. The Theta Network token has surged more than 16,000% in barely 12 months, an outstanding and record-breaking figure. The surge has now placed the token as the ninth largest cryptocurrency with a market capitalization of $13.6 billion. What this means is that the token is now bigger than popular altcoins like Stellar and Bitcoin Cash. The Theta project, which four computer programers created- Mitch Liu, Jieyi Long, Steve Chen, and Justin Kan, aims to improve the quality of media streaming via Blockchain technology. So far, the Blockchain network has achieved its aim, which has now been reflected in the performance of its native token, Theta. The Theta token had witnessed an 88% rise in the last seven days, with a remarkable surge of 43% in the last 24 hours, and currently trades at $13.93 at the time of writing. These figures now mean that Theta has now outperformed LINK and Litecoin and is currently up there as the biggest gainer amongst all altcoins this week.
Theta is set to launch a new token soon
Speaking to the press about the project’s remarkable success, Wes Levitt, Theta’s Head of Strategy, believes that the success being enjoyed by the project as of now shows the result of all the hard work the developers have engulfed into the Blockchain project. Levitt believes that many people are starting to believe in the Theta project, a situation that puts the company at the pinnacle of more success. Levitt also hinted that the project plans to launch a new token soon, as the project becomes more appealing to more investors. According to Levitt, the problems being solved by the Theta network, which includes creating a solution that allows seamless streaming, sharing of media like audios and videos, is now starting to attract more partners and collaborators to the Blockchain network. Levitt also hinted that apart from a new token launch, Theta explores the NFT market. Levitt confirmed that the Blockchain network would launch an NFT marketplace soon, which will further increase the firm’s fortunes.
