The famous cryptocurrency-friendly Brave Browser has teamed up with the Winklevoss brothers-owned cryptocurrency exchange Gemini in order to make it easy for users to buy, sell, or trade digital currencies via the trading platform of the Gemini exchange. As announced by Brave on August 27, 2020, users can access the features of the Gemini exchange from within the Brave Browser.
Gemini Trading Widget is now available in Brave Browser
According to the blog post of Brave, a new widget named Gemini Trading Widget has been introduced in the New Tab page of the Brave browser as per the partnership agreement. Users can now use this Gemini Trading Widget to trade crypto assets “in a simple and secure manner”.
The company said in the blog post:
“We are excited to announce that Gemini and Brave have partnered to make it easier for users to buy, sell, store, and earn crypto when using the Brave browser. This integration allows users of the Brave desktop browser (version 1.13) to engage with crypto via the new Gemini Trading Widget in a simple and secure manner.”
The Gemini Trading Widget is easily accessible for users of Brave desktop from the New Tab page of the Brave Browser and they can trade through this widget any digital currency that is listed on the trading platform of the Gemini exchange. Other than this, the widget will also allow them to check out their balances in Gemini accounts as well as they can access deposit addresses. They can perform these functions without leaving the Brave Browser.
Furthermore, the company says in the blog post that this integration between Brave and the Gemini exchange is beneficial for Brave Creators:
“In addition, Brave-verified content creators can custody their digital assets in a Gemini Creator Wallet. That means Brave creators can receive their BAT payments into their Gemini Creator Wallet, or in any other fiat or crypto asset supported on Gemini’s Exchange.”
Those Brave Creators who are registered in New York for the first time will be able to use the Gemini Creator Wallet for claiming their Basic Attention Tokens.
