Ethereum based crypto game, Axie infinity has posted a massive income of $860,000 from the sale of tokens used in the monster battling game.

In its statement, the Pokemon and Tamagotchi game lookalike announced that it had netted a massive income of $860,000 in a new strategic AXS governance token sale. Noticeably, firms like Delphi Digital, Arca, Spraq, and a little host of other firms were on hand to lend their support in the token sale. The new AXS token was launched this month but has enjoyed a swell time in the market. The coin has seen a surge to move to $0.47 from its previous price of $0.12 after enjoying listing on Binance and decentralized exchange, Uniswap.

Axie Infinity to add Chainlink’s live price feed to its project

The Ethereum based game Axie Infinity uses non-fungible tokens to represent creatures collected in the game. Notably, because non-fungible tokens represent the creatures in the game, they are extremely rare to come by. A very rare NFT from Axie Infinity was said to have gone on sale for 300 Ethereum was worth around $130,000 when it was sold.

The recent AXS governance token is coming off the back of a recent partnership with Chainlink that Axie Infinity announced at the beginning of the week. As a result of the partnership, Chainlink will begin to broadcast its live ETH/USD price feed on the game to ensure that users are always aware of the latest Ethereum price.

Axie also said that it had deployed the Verifiable Randomness Function that belongs to Chainlink on its game. The already deployed function will work for random in-game elements like breeding Axies. At an interview that was granted by the Growth lead at Axie, Jeff Zirlin, he said that most of the game’s success is because of the play to earn feature that it possesses.

Users earn up to $7 an hour on Axie Infinity

In his interview, the growth lead revealed that the game allows users to earn Ethereum tokens worth $4 to $7 every hour. However, he noted that while this is a side hustle for most people, the money earned on the platform is much more valuable in some other places worldwide. Furthermore, Zirlin said that in places like the Philippines and Venezuela, the money earned in the game is worth a lot of money.

“It might probably not be worth a lot to the average American user who sees the game as a side hustle, but if you take that same money to places like Indonesia or the Philippines, you will realize that it is worth a lot in those places,” Zirlin said.

Also, he mentioned that the prices helped people a lot during the coronavirus pandemic. Finally, Zirlin noted that the firm had witnessed massive growth due to developing countries patronaging them. This sky is just the beginning for the firm. “we have enjoyed patronage from users across the globe, and we have this to thank for our growth,” Zirlin said.
