The crypto winter has been beating the whole market down and created a very pessimistic outlook that was adopted by many in the community. However, there is no point in tracking the prices of many assets that may never recover. We have out strong players like Bitcoin and Ethereum, others will have to either survive the harsh winter or disappear into obscurity. Either way, we cannot do much about it.

On the other hand, the crypto industry is still living and breathing. Several ongoing hackathons and challenges offer large rewards to participants. We decided to talk about three of them!

Connected Contracts by MoonBeam

The Moonbeam network wants to expand its collection of deployed dApps and offers any developer who will create a usable product within certain limitations. The prize pool is quite large with $55K up for grabs. Developers can enter individually or as a team. The dApp must be deployed to the MoonBeam network before September 26th.

Hackathon on the PolkaDot’s Latam Network

While many enthusiasts in the industry are hearing less and less about PolkaDot, it does not mean that the project is dying. Quite the contrary, it builds upon its solid foundation and allows many new DeFi projects to take off. The success of many projects deployed on the layer 1 network is one of the reasons many people stopped discussing PolkaDot as intensely as a couple of years ago.

The Hackathon will unite many technical specialists in a single 6-week event that will end with giving out rewards from the massive $141K prize pool. The end of the hackathon is planned for November 19th.

Oasis Network’s Sapphire Hackathon

This event is focused on searching for new decentralized apps that are built according to advanced security standards that prioritize privacy above all else. Builders who have ideas about creating resilient solutions that can preserve privacy in the EVM environment and ensure stricter confidentiality can participate in the hackathon that will conclude on October 24th.

Winners will split a hefty prize pool. Even the third-place hacker will get a nice $9K in funding for their efforts.
